In two weeks, bet fifty percent would not be alive. Like if the power grid went out.

Tell me how you'd recreate any of these magic technologies.

I've always contended that YouTube should be archived to hard drives and made available.

Re: Magic!

All that magic, that we often take for granted, believing we fully understand it or are entitled to it. Like a friend you can rely on.

Re: Magic!

Having grown up in the 60s I certainly agree there is a lot of magic out there. I have to single out GPS for me. Thinking back to all the times I’d get lost in the fog trying to keep my dr plot going and ending up somewhere unexpected, and now I can look on this tiny credit card of a phone and see where I am within 30 ft or less…. blows my mind…

Re: Magic!

Some friends have this gizmo next to their winches that don't require any effort to raise their halyards. I've always referred to them as "magic buttons."

And not just that we have tools like that, but once you think about just how reliable they are, it's really amazing.

Re: Magic!

Chatting with all of you on a tiny hand held communicator and I don’t even know where you are
If that’s not magic I don’t know what is

Re: Magic!

It’s magic to have a badass girlfriend with an irrational love of boating. And- I think the main magical force is - whatever it is that makes us do this at all and still like it

Eyeing the whirlpools in the narrows ahead on another lovely summer day, while I huddle inside for a bit and wonder where the rum got to.

Re: Magic!

This might be a tad of topic, but I spent my early years in Africa. At that time, a transistor radio was considered high tech, but to the locals it was " magic" as they couldn't understand how it was possible to have a little man inside that tiny box doing the talking.
