The marinized gals get pampered.
Here is a picture of Ann, Leigh Ann, Becky, and I. Guess who is who
One sailed around the world, one is just back from a Bahamas 5 year cruise, and one owns a beautiful steel hull brewers design sailboat, and of course then there is little ole me.

As soon as the motor is cut.....eyelids get HEAVY. But she gets what she wants out of sailing...and so do I, so I can't (and won't) complain.

Here she is her first time sailing.

The best times are when we are out on the water working together.

Boats sure seem to make people sleepy... I've gotten quite good at raising anchor and motoring out on my own while my wife sleeps. It's all worth it when breakfast arrives at the companionway a couple hours later, though.

Gee... and all of you still keep 5 toes That´s another argument for me!!!

Now for the updates on my wife´s first sailing lesson...
Didn´t happen...
A reallly violent thunderstorm struck the lake while she was getting ready to mount the rudder. Heavy rain...thunder... 20mt visibility in something like 10minutes

But she was so disapointed, that she immediately reschedulled it for tomorrow!

So another update is dued tomorrow.
Ahoj,
Messias

Re: "marinized wife"

I need to point out that my wife rescued Navy Seals in 35' waves. She is marinized. She isn't afraid. I'm the one that cries like a little girl when it's rough.

Re: "marinized wife"

Hi there everyone,

After a few nasty days, we finnaly got ourselves a weather window that allowed my wife´s first sailing lesson. She really enjoyed it and was handling the boat very smoothly in a short time.
I think the approach was so good that she is not only counting the days for the next lesson...but actually talking about getting the licence.

Here she is getting ready to unpack the sails (no, that mast is not twisted...it´s just the fisheye lens)

And here, after the weather opening up and heading for the buoys.

Wow... next thing I know and she will be registering right here at CruisersForum!
