Fasttimes,

You may want to be more specific. The price can vary from location to location. Also, you may want to have this thread moved to the Med section of the forum where more Med cruisers may see it.

I am on a 44 ft cat and have paid anywhere from 0 to 160 Euro for one night (from 50% to 100% more for being a cat). As for monthly, I have paid about 900 Euro last winter (Badalona, Spain) and was quoted 290 Euro (water and power extra) (Marmaris, Turkey) for this winter.

Ok - very ballpark I would say that on average, we pay about 40-50 Euros a night for Spain, France and Italy. Greece's average is about 10 Euros a night.

Is there much cheaper anchorage, rather than mooreage available. I know in England there is much greater choice in "cheapness" as compared to British Columbia's west wet coast.

We have never been charged for anchoring. I have heard of a boat getting charged for anchoring in Croatia, but I haven't been there (yet).

Hey! We are in the West Palm area too! Our boat is moored south of Peanut Island in the Intracoastal. We use the dinghy dock at Riviera Beach Marina. Where are you?

In Croatia and as well as in Seychelles they charge you to anchor only in the National Parks whether you use the Parks mooring or you anchor. When we were in Seychelles they charged $25 US per night.

I live in the Med. the prices of Marina`s arround Turkey, Cyprus, Israel, Greece are about $300 to $400 a month . there are many Marina`s in Turkey, food is excellent, arroung 400 anchorages along the south coast, beautiful. my boat is currently in Marina Tel Aviv, I pay $300 a month only. if you need more info- I shall be happy to give it....anytime

We are using the dinghy dock at the marina and tend to frequent the Tiki too much.

After we left Turkey and sailed west, we never stayed in a Marina again. We anchored out all the way to Gibraltar. We inquired one place in Mallorca and they wanted 120 Euros with no facilities. We declined.

Actually we never stayed in a marina again until we arrived in Trinidad for Carnival. We never had difficulty finding a place to anchor from Turkey to Trinidad.
