Ah, ha!! You two are bonafide racers now! No turning back What a great run that was. It's such an exhilarating feeling when you ace it, especially shorthanded and least expecting it. Simply awesome.

Re: Moderators lead by example.

Wonderful, and beautifully described - brought tears to my eyes.

Congratulations to you both - not just for your achievement in the ARC+, but also for just being out there as a couple sharing a dream.

Inspiring!

David
PS what's the boat?

Re: Moderators lead by example.

I do not know you, but feel sorry you did not get 3rd. You disappointment shows. I suppose the rules now require you to move to a racers' forum where you can moderate more effectively. Enough, congratulations even though I really do not know you.

Thanks to all - the plaque hangs on our salon wall - looks very decorative

Our boat is a 2006 Jeanneau Sun Fast 40.3 A cruiser/racer.

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

Carsten, I'm certain there will be a specially reserved table for you and your crew, one day, in Valhalla. The spirit of the Vikings lives on! Congratulations.

Ha!

well never be real racers not to tell a sob story but the last coule of days we sent the entire time straed in we needed to be tethered even when we were at the helm. sitting anywhere required tethers and wedging yourself in with both feet and hands even sleeing in the seabunk required wedging yourself in. We quit making hot food because there was no way to free u two hands to eat, even from a bowl.

thankfully weve forgotten it all and now just bask in the glow of the win
