Sure, you can watch the depth sounder, but don't get too troubled with decreasing depths. Remember, if you're following the path with the deepest water, your depth will be decreasing half the time.

Absolutely! Aside from my rant - CurtinJulianna has sufficient electric nav already and, as a64 pilot says, you'll mostly conduct line-of-sight navigation... going from one numbered post to the next.

Sounds like you're already on your way, though, so I hope you've sorted out that diesel leak!
