I used to skipper a small fishing boat called "Startrek". Bloody embarrassing in the fishing community I was working in, beam me up Scotty.

Hell.

I remember seeing a sailboat named, "Quantum Leap." The lettering is the same way, as the TV show.

There's an old TV show called by the same name. "Quantum Leap." Starring Scott Bakula & Dean Stockwell. Ran for 5 seasons.

There's a decrepit old houseboat here in the marina named "Sea Rosis of da River".

Warp Drive

Speaking of Star Trek, I know someone with an Impulse 21 (a very fast boat, and most incredible set of control lines I have ever seen) whose boat name is Warp Drive. I always thought it was cool, especially if you are a fan of the TV show (Impulse vs Warp).

Favorite could certainly mean worst as well as best.
Juggs II was good (I think Juggs I would have been just "Jugg" , but not certain) but "privilaged sperm" from Climax certainly raises (or lowers) the bar.
Keep 'em coming....

Yeah, it's me !!

The wife's vanity tag has been "YAITSME" for quite a few years now ... it seemed only right to name the boat the same - although she thought 'yaitsus' would be better, I didn't think it had the same ring to it.

There's always a few who can't make out what it should sound like, but it's a fun name - and no other "yaitsme" is registered with the USCG.

Had the wife not been in the picture, my choice for boat name was easily "Derelict" ... but then, if the wife weren't in the picture - I wouldn't have anything, much less a boat to name!

Slightly off topic, I saw this personalized liscense on a corvette once that said "WUZ HIZ". Of course with a nice looking lady driving it!

We owned a 50 wooden schooner for a short time that had a unique name, "Dragle" THe name was derived from the owners disagreement on a name. He wanted Dragon. She wanted Eagle.

Plates

We are getting off boats names and onto licence plates, which require some creativity. 0410E is a classic in NZ that the rest of you will have to wonder about. It is a secret. The response might be somthing like RU412 or UB6IB9. My own plate says RSPCME.
But somewhere else I said a boat name needs to sound okay over the VHF and not need a whole lot of explanation.
