One of the three marinas in the Ortega River Area mentioned above is

Ortega Yacht Club Marina

I used to keep my IP35 there with 4.5' of draft without any problems even on the lowest of tide days. My docklines were barely even snugged up after a tropical storm came thru last summer. Definately a very protected area. We would still be there if not for the 5 hour ride to the ocean every time we wanted to get out.
