Need a kicker bracket

Looking for a kicker bracket for my 1979 Ericson 27 sailboat. Even though I currently only have a super lightweight 2 stroke outboard that I plan to put on the boat (mostly as an emergency back-up to my older inboard), I would still like to install a more robust quality bracket on the boat for when I upgrade to a bigger kicker. When my inboard finally fails I may just go entirely to an outboard only and will want a nicer 10-15hp 4 stroke.

Given the high transom on my boat though, I envision the bracket in the fully raised position will still likely be lower than the top of the transom. The problem with most brackets I found so far is that the release levers pull back towards the boat. I am concerned I wont have clearance and the lever will be hitting the back of the transom before releasing (several online reviewers commented that this was a problem for their high transom boats when installing a kicker bracket). Anyone know of a transom bracket rated for a 4 stroke (at least up to 15hp) that has a forward pushing release mechanism? Or any other viable solutions or suggestions would be appreciated. I don't want to break the bank on such a simple item, but I don't mind paying for quality that works! Thanks!

Re: Need a kicker bracket

I have a Panther 4 stroke bracket, but I'm on my second one.

Max. 15 HP 4-Stroke & 20 HP 2-Stroke, 11" Lift, Stainless Steel 55-0408SS.

It will hold up to 132 lbs and I have my 57lb 5 hp 4 stroke outboard on it.

If you buy one though you need to replace those black hand grips with locking nuts with the teflon (I cannot remember the name) because they will vibrate off
