is there such a thing as a snatch block with a built in cam,, that would work perfect, it is small enough?

Or, how about just a ratcheting pulley that only moves in one direction? Use it like a winch with a few wraps, pull in the kite and when you release the string, the friction should keep it in place.
a ratcheting pulley with a cam lok inside of it would work awesome,, if it were small enough
