New boat help.

New Leopard 58. Taking possession after 2019 Miami show. Never bought a boat before and a little over whelmed on steps to take. Going to pay Florida sales tax. Personal use of only. What steps should I be taking 45 days out to make sure this goes well. Thanks for the advice.

Re: New boat help.

Leopards are nice catamorons.. if this is your tack.

Unlike you have some serious dynamic job, get a professional captain to show you the ropes.

Also, spend a few weeks with the dealer’s marine engineer. To show you all you need to know systems wise to enjoy your new toy safely and effectively. This is a large boat you’ve got coming...

Congratulations.

Congratulations! You didn't mention your experience level- years of sailing, experience with complex systems/catamarans/larger vessels?

Re: New boat help.

Some one send me a message about acceptance inspection. I was planning on this but wanted to ask others who have received new leopards, what did you find? What should I specifically look for during the inspection that you either found and fixed prior to acceptance or found after that had to be addressed. Additionally, if someone has an inspector who is exceptional at the new boat inspections in the lauderdale area, that would be nice to have as well. Yes...I know not to ask the Leopard group who they recommend. Thanks.
