Re: New Foul Weather Set $85 - GREAT!

Also, this seems to be the same product @ a slightly cheaper rate. Still figuring out shipping costs, etc.

I just tried that. They only take US Paypal accounts for some reason.

OMGOSH, not that this weather gear">foul weather gear is worth all this trouble, but can you create a US Paypal account? Moreover, what makes is a US Paypal account, the billing address?

Good luck.

I'm not a fan of no name foulies. I've had several. All leaked. And when your knee deep in Atlantic water and it's seeping down your bum, you'd pay $$$$$ right then. After one trip I went out and bought a full Gill ocean racer 5 dot setup. Best money I ever spent. Still using it after 15 years.

Re: New Foul Weather Set $85 - GREAT!

Looks like a good deal, but:
1. They won't ship to a US address if you have a Canadian billing address.
2. They won't accept Paypal from Canadian account.
3. When shipping to Canada they collect duty on a duty-free item. (we pay only the 13% sales tax, and that is high enough!)
4. I guess they won't be getting my business.

....... but thanks for the heads up on what would otherwise be a good deal!

Re: New Foul Weather Set $85 - GREAT!

Thanks for sharing the site(s).

I got mine from Vermont's Barre with a 10% discount, so the final damage was $67.45 U.S. I bought some other stuff and got free shipping as well.

I did a little research and found someone on an Oz sailing website that showered in them and wore them around the clock for three days. While a shower doesn't quite have the same effect as the ocean, with an enclosed cockpit, these should do just fine.

I plan to a theory to practice next month and see how they hold up in real world testing.

For the interweb challenged, here's the link. Nice of them to let you order different sized jacket/pants combination.

Re: New Foul Weather Set $85 - GREAT!

So great of you all to share continued deals and better bargains. For those who ordered from overstock.com, I hope they are good for you (and us) in weather. I suspect they will be great.

For those outside the US who are having issues ..... I am sorry you can't get in on this bargain.

I wonder is they have many international customers, I would think not. Someone might want to contact their customer service and give them the heads up. Let them know you don't have these issues with other online stores. They (overstock.com) are really great to work with.

Just another voice of experience with Overstock. I have dealt with them a number of times (they have the best deals on pressure foam for bunks and berths and banquettes) and never had a problem with them. Have not had spam from them either. My sister buys from them all the time, jewelery and stuff and has always been really happy. and she is one fussy girl!

If you live where the exchange and shipping work out and you need foulies I would definitely go for these.

Himself has a wholesale account with helly hansen so we have gear, but if we didn't I'd be jumping on this like a flea on a dog!

And international is often a problem no matter where you live. Plenty of times things that have been a great deal in the country of origin worked out to a bad deal for me in the US. Just the nature of international deals, even in this day and age.
