That's a very stumpy rudder there must be two of them. Hopefully that works out at one per wheel.

Fair wind

Congratulations on your boat. The world is your oyster now.

Well, better hurry up before Gita nails us next weekend or week. Or better yet, wait for the next high that approaches us and come up on the SW winds that precede it. Give me a PM when you get to Auckland and we can have a cruise in company to some special Hauraki Gulf anchorages.

Picton is in the midst of an amazing cruising ground. The Sounds are a NZ bucket list item for us.

Hi Fxykty

Sounds great! Will pm you when in Auckland. The plan is to leave on Wednesday morning. Fingers crossed. What kind of boat do you have and where do you moor her? I’ll be in Hobsonville.

Hi Peter,

You can check a member’s profile for boat, location and biographical information - some disclose heaps, some nothing, and most somewhere in between.

We’ve got a 16.4m catamaran that we moor at Gulf Harbour. Friday afternoon we’re heading up to Mansion House Bay on Kawau for a music festival that we’ll enjoy from the boat.

Good luck with your passage. Weather looks variable depending on how fast the lows move on. Are you coming up the east or west coast?
