We have champion boat designers especially those around the late 60.s Peter Smith Keith Stick Bob Salthouse. Of course, we have Sounds and Fiords at both ends of the South Island Fiordland is deepwater anchorage and double or triple hook majestic on a good day when the souwest blows through it's perishingly cold.
