Re: OMG. What's the Point?

All this talk of fancy cruises made me want to go flying.
The rain is coming down in sheets, so just called my buddy and told him I wouldnt be joining him this afternoon.....
he sounded happy in the Kite club so i dont suppose he intended to go anyways
When it rains its wet.

Re: OMG. What's the Point?

It never rains here. Its just a myth that big ship cruisers tell SF folks as they head down the gangplank to buy bumper car parts.

Hmm ... NSA sleuthing would suggest you are NOT in Spain today as the rain there stays mainly in the plane plain.

That's what I was going to mention. This forum seems to have a high percentage of doctors and lawyers. I'm on a different forum, and the vast majority of members there are blue collar, perhaps 1/3 of them own their own businesses, but most are in some form of construction or real estate. A few are filthy rich, having found a unique niche.

I have a tendency to believe people at face value, especially because some of the most unbelievable things have happened to me. If I do question a statement, I'll just google it myself. As far as the immune system fighting off 90%, that sounded about right to me, any less and we'd be sick a major portion of the time.

My ex-wife was a nurse and she had a few pet peaves about cleanliness. She never put anything like a pen from the hospital, her fingers or other object anyone else ever touched into her mouth, and she was very careful to keep injured skin covered with a triple antibiotic ointment. Ever since then, following those simple practices (I also turn away from the thousands of stupid people who don't cover their mouths when they sneeze or cough, I think they should all wear masks like the Japanese do, or be forced to) I've only been sick maybe twice in the last 14 years, and my immune system is nothing to brag about.

Just stay away from hospitals and kids, or when you're around them, be careful.

Our bodies are amazing, and do fight off most of what they encounter. About the only things they can't fight off are cancer and made-up statistics from boating forums.
