Bermuda to the Azores is 1,948 nautical miles (rhumb line).

Thus, "in the vicinity" covers a pretty big area.

It would be helpful to have some further info, especially the departure date.

If available, additional info like communications capabilities (VHF, SSB, satphone, etc.) and intentions (planned check-ins), and last contact (date/time/position) would also be helpful.
