Pets onboard in other countries.

I know brining a pet with while circumnavigating is problematic. However what about a pet that never leaves the boat.

My daughter wants a pet in the worst way so would having something like a hermit crab, salamander, hamster, etc that would never leave the boat be different as far as these countries are concerned?

Every country is going to have different rules unfortunately. Rabies in Europe whilst very rare, means rules are tight.
