Re: Preparation for a travel lift haul out.

As others have said, it's your responsibility to tell the lift crew where to put the slings. In the yard I use (just did it last week for bottom painting), they want me there to confirm where the slings go, then it's my problem if something goes wrong based on that sling location I also want to be there ... it's my boat.
My boat has never been in the yard for more than a week and I assume yours is going in for the winter. What is the yard security like and have they suffered previous thefts? I've had my outboard stolen off the stern of my boat while it was up on jacks. The yard compensated me for it but now warn everyone of theft possibilities ... it influences what you leave on the deck, and you make sure everything is locked up.

Re: Preparation for a travel lift haul out.

Thank you Desodave, the boat will be hauled out for an inspection and cleaning. I’ll be there for the haul out. The yard I think is safe. Wrangell is a small community

Thanks again
