Queens Birthday Storm

I came accross this sobering documentary about that dreaded 1994 storm.
It goes to show that no matter how prepared you are, the ocean can still have the upper hand.
I wonder if with so many choices of receiving weather information at sea, this could have been avoided today. Perhaps.
