EPIRB

The other comment (If I read the report correctly) was that an EPIRB may well have saved their lives.

One water activated or three waterproof would have done the trick.

To my mind it is starting to look like sailing in a situation where projected rescue time is greater than survival time means an EPIRB must be carried.
