RO water in Bermuda

We are sailing from the Bahamas to Bermuda next spring (and then on to Connecticut for the summer). We don’t currently have a watermaker and won’t have one by then.

Does anyone know where we can find RO water when we’re in Bermuda, besides staying in a marina for a night to fill up the tanks? Thanks.

Bermuda does not have a reverse osmosis facility. They collect rain water. There is a Dowling’s fuel station in St. George’s harbor, pull up to the dock and they have water available priced by the gallon. It is potable but you could always filter it aboard your vessel.

Oh boy. Just about the sickest I’ve ever been, intestines-wise, was on a land trip in Bermuda when I drank the water from the faucet at our rental (it came from the rooftop cistern). We ended up switching to bottled water for the rest of the trip. Thanks.

Actually they do now have six RO plants. You see small tankers delivering water to houses, using the original cisterns for storage. Used to be that all the roofs were kept sparkling white for rainwater collection. Now you see many dirty roofs. Dowling's is the easier water source.

Why not pick up a manual water maker - Survivor 25 for example.
