In certain, specific circumstances... Yes, absolutely.

For the average American who is not planning to keep the boat long-term in Delaware... Almost certainly not.

In addition, there is an as yet unlisted 57 foot boat in their inventory. Its an older classic that has been parked indoors headed for several years for a professional restoration. Owner ran out of money and interest so for sale at about 30 cents on the dollar. I've seen it - gorgeous.
Thanks, I'll check it out, both of them actually.

I'd have to agree, it'd have to be a hefty tax bill to most likely make it worthwhile to absorb the ongoing expenses, if that is now the requirement as described above.

Well, checked out the 60' Southern Ocean Shipyard Schooner, it looked quite nice, newer electronics, though it is coming on 40 years old. The biggest downside to me was that it has a 8'6" draft, which is somewhat limiting in a number of locations I've been reading about/watch vids of. The Amel is 6'7", so it is almost 2' deeper. Not a huge disparity between them, but could make all the difference in the world in certain situations.
