Sailing Opportunities in NYC ?

Hi All,

I just did a sailing course this past weekend, had a lot of fun and would like to sail more in the future. However, I did a search and it seems like all the sailing clubs in the city require >$1000/yr in dues. Being a recent college grad, I'm wondering if there are less expensive alternatives.

Miramar YC in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn may be right for you:

I know they offer a non boat owner membership category that is much less than other categories, especially for younger folks. And they are a very active sailing club, in a great sailing area.

By far the cheapest sailing program in NYC is SailNY - New York City's Community Sailing Association
They sail Solings from Weehawken I believe.
