Sailing Schools in the Caribbean

Good afternoon,
I am looking for recommendations for good sailing schools in the Caribbean that are not closed b/c of Covid.

Thank you all in advance!

Sea Horse Sailing School in Grenada. They still have a quarantine though, but good instruction.

Why the Caribbean, if you're in NYC? It's likely that things will be very open this summer in the US, based on vaccination rates. Whereas many other countries are facing additional lockdowns. I'm sure there are a number of good sailing schools in NY, CT, RI, and MA. Probably some in NJ too.

Thank you — Unfortunately they are not taking individual bookings at the moment

I'm communicating with LTD Sailing school right now.

Currently there is a 5-day mandatory quarantine, but the school said they're talking about changing it for people who are fully vaccinated. I'm waiting for that to happen and then I'm going to book there.

Looks good but they require a 2 ppl minimum - do you already have someone to go with?

Advantage Boating runs in the BVIs. They are also up here in Ottawa and Kingston Ontario. Top level professional instruction. As an alumni I can absolutely verify the level of instruction and professionalism. PM me if you need info or Google will bring it right up

I read it as they need at least two bodies on the boat for the class to proceed. I am going solo. They never mentioned a +1 to me.

I might not be economically feasible for them to run the whole boat for a week with just one student paying.

St. Thomas Sailing Center. https://stthomassailingcenter.com/

It’s the US, so you don’t need a COVID test to return to the mainland. You can also get vaccinated here (apparently we have a surplus).
