Sea Ray 480 motor yacht/ 42-48 sedan bridge

Am looking for owners/former owners.
Having sailed throughout the Bahamas in a Beneteau 473, the Admiral has indicated a power will do....
These above mentioned Sea Ray's are everywhere, but, are they known for rough seas?
Yes, I do abide by, 'when in doubt, do not go out'.
Poo happens especially with shallow draft boats.
Skill level is there, not experience.

Depends on what you mean by rough... but generally, the boats will take more abuse than the crew. Sea Ray isn't Viking or Hatteras, but the build quality is generally said to be decent (Chevy or Ford). Ours isn't a Sea Ray, but similar in build and we've been off shore a few times, and I wouldn't hesitate to take ours through the Bahamas. With decent weather planning, of course.
