Selling a Sailboat

I am having a hard time selling my old boat. ericson 27. Any reccomendadions on what to do. Tried a broker, I list it on craigs list, I have the boat cleaned up and keep it in water and ready to show to people. It just seems that in the northeast, marked is pretty bad. I don't even think its the price. Because I've had people come look at it with higher budgets than the 6-7K asking price. I think there's just way too many used sailboats for sale. This would be my last major hurdle (besides getting married) to overcome before we head for carribean.

Just lower the price if you really want to get rid of it. Sometimes, you have to provide buyers with an incentive so they choose your boat. Other than all the cleaning and prep you have done... you can only drop the price a little bit.

I bought my current boat because it was the one (of maybe 5 I was looking at and only about 50 made!) that would accept the lowest offer.

If you are the lowest, it will sell.

Sean, I am having much better luck over the weekend. Warm weather here in the northeast, and the boat in the water and ready to be enjoyed. Thats what I was counting on. So hopefully I am not gonna have to lower it too much.
