Signing In and Out of Each Port in Indonesia with Harbour Master

Once you have officially signed into Indonesia, I am hearing mixed reports from other Cruisers here of whether you should Sign in and Out with the harbour master at each Destination from now on - Some are saying don't worry about it, others are saying its a must.

Obviously not Signing In and Out saves a lot of hassle, unless you get pulled up by the Authorities !!

Any views from those that have cruised here?

It is not legally required for foreign tourist boats, but some harbour masters and/or maritime police require it. If they do, just go along. You will need Quarantine to create an entry in your Green Book, then take that to the Harbour Master to complete the entry. There shouldn’t be any fee.
