Re: Single Handed Docking Question

What I do is use a spring to stop the boat, then motor very slow ahead, and it pulls the boat, onto the dock, I made a rope for this measured for the dock I keep boat at, one end is secured to the mid cleat, the other end i spliced a big bite, and I use that to lasso the dock cleat, then I stop the boat, then motor very gently ahead and let the rope pull the boat to the dock

Re: Single Handed Docking Question

Docking sticks...docking sticks......takes 75% of the stress out of solo docking. All you have to do is get the boat in the slip. Does not have to be pretty.
