Hopefully, it'll warm this place up a tad...

Wondering how much it affects the GPS signal.

Re: Solar Storm Approaching Earth

FWIW:
“... pulsating auroras are generated when clumps of plasma waves in the magnetosphere, the region of space affected by the Earth's magnetic field, intermittently herd and shove aurora-causing electrons into the Earth's magnetic field lines.
That causes bursts of electrons to rain down into the Earth's atmosphere, where they can interact with particles there to produce a colourful light show. Normally, they just remain in space...”

Re: Solar Storm Approaching Earth

I don't know what to do as I'm all confused. The article says the flares could reach us as early as Thursday Feb 14. I have trouble knowing what day of the week it is and what day of the month it is so I checked my phone and I think the flare is having a serious impact.
