SPOT Plugin or Code for Blog

Hi guys and gals.

I've got my favorite blogs that I follow (mostly families 'cause we are one)... and I *think* I remember seeing a live SPOT feed in more than one blog.

I have registered my SPOT and sort of expected to see a code snippit or plugin of some kind, but all I see is a SPOT branded page dedicated to me (and where I'm going) - that I can share.

Does anyone know of some way to include my SPOT tracking map right in my blog (I'm using WordPress, but it shouldn't matter if it is calling a Google map using a code snippit).

Cheers.

Re: SPOT Plugin or Code for Blog

They have a Javascript snippet for a live widget/map that can be embedded in a web page. Not sure if your WordPress host will allow it, but I'll bet there is a way:
Here's the link

You need to get your own Google Map key, but that's really easy.

The Javascript snippet only works for people with IE. FF and Opera aren't working right.

You can do it in an iframe:

<div style="text-align: center;"><iframe src="http://findme.spot.com/yourspotfeed" width="550" height="550"></iframe></div>

It isn't that elegant, but it does work. You could make the iframe bigger if your theme allows for it. Create a new page and put the iframe in it with your feed.
