St. Lawrence to east coast 2014

Hello all, I'm planning a trip down the St. Lawrence next spring to Newfoundland and the east coast. Anyone else headed that way from Ontario or points further west?

You're a year ahead of us. We're leaving from Lake Superior next summer, with plans to get as far as Lake Ontario in 2014. Then it's out the St. Lawrence the following season.

Hi Old Hand

Been thinking about it, last year friend of mine did it. I spent a week with him Port aux Basque to Riviere du loup. Nice sail, well motor, it was either no wind or on the nose, one day out of seven with good wind.
What time frame/route are you looking at, for now I'm just thinking about it.

Hello Glenn,

At this point I'm thinking about leaving the end of May, any earlier and its still cold and a lot of prevailing northeast winds. I did this trip in 2011 and turned around at the Sagenauy. This next time I'm not turning around but will push on to the coast.
