Ah, ok. I was thinking that 90 days is just enough time to avoid January, February, March in the NE.

Ever think about relocating to the south shore of LI? Warmer weather, a large barrier beach protected bay, lots of rich folks, and a bunch of old school type boatyards always looking for skilled labor.

Not sure if the wife ever wants to return to where she's from - she spent a long time trying to leave there!

I have had good luck on the North Shore, however - and I secretly enjoy living on Long Island. Again, it comes down to moving both people and both people's work to a new location. Also, we moved out of NY a long time ago due to pollution. We needed some fresh air (without so much particulate junk, soot, etc...). We still get an ozone alert every once in a while up here, but they're not every day.

We also fish, forage, etc... and like nature.
