Not true regarding our 2017 TrueKit dinghy. We bought it used in 2018 (after it was used for a year as a demo for Steinlager charters) and didn’t cover it until late 2021. We made Sunbrella covers for it then. The PVC material is as new, with very little sun fading. It has been used in New Zealand, Tonga and Australia - high UV areas. YMMV
