Turks & Caicos guest bringing in parts

We are planning on sailing from Bahamas to Turks in a week or two. Have a guest arriving by plane who will be bringing in parts for the boat. Little things mostly like water filter but also a VHF splitter and most obviously a replacement Starlink for us.

What should I expect in terms of hassle she might get at the airport in Turks? Do they check bags and charge customs fees?

Turks and Caicos Ministry of Immigration and Border Services
Customs Department ➥ https://customs.gov.tc/
Duty Calculator ➥ https://customs.gov.tc/cltr

Most items, imported into the Turks and Caicos, have a 30% duty, with an additional 7.5% Customs Processing Fee (CPF).

“All returning residents and visitors are allowed a duty free exemption allowance of $400.
This means that the total value of their goods must not exceed this amount if they are to benefit.”

https://customs.gov.tc/webuploads/cu...0Questions.pdf

As a "transient" [goods will not remain in TCI], you may [IDK] be exempt [or refund upon departure] from import duty.

Thanks GordMay. There’s also what they say the rules are vs what is enforced. Curious if any cruisers have firsthand experience?
