Nope. Although while you used to be able to search the PNW and get Oregon, Washington and BC and this disappeared, recently they reintroduced Pacific Northwest under the US and you can combine Wash and Ore at least.

I just spend 3 weeks building a Python script to search Yachtworld and return the results for the three territories I ma interested in—mostly because I was bored and wanted to learn Python, but spurred on by how pissed I was at Yachtworld's ridiculous web redesign.

I blogged about it here(https://neverforever.ca/2020/04/if-you-cant-boat-dream/) and posted the code here https://macblaze.ca/?p=13665

Yeah, Yachtworld searches are really crap.

I sometimes get different results by searching slightly differently, and it's not like my searches are all that complicated.

Yachtworld disabled the advanced search. A really lame move

Re: Using Yachtworld search

If you go to Yachtworld Australia you can still search via the old system. For me its even worse as it seems the new search function java? based and will not come through my works firewall and how else would I get through the day without spending it looking at sailboats listed in the Pacific NW in the last 7 days!

Re: Using Yachtworld search

Does anyone know what they were trying to achieve? It is rare to see a redesign this inferior to the original product. At first, I thought it was unfinished, or I was misusing it but I haven’t heard anyone say it’s an improvement.
Best,

Re: Using Yachtworld search

Maybe they were trying to make us look at ALL their boats...?

Instead, I do really specific brand and size searches and then get off of the damn site. No more Beneteau, Catalina and Hunter overload thank you!

Re: Using Yachtworld search

You can still do an "advanced search," you just have to use the filters on the left side of the screen to tailor what you want.

But they are no where near as flexible and don't seem to remember most of the parameters when you go back and look at recent searches.

Thanks for that tip. Makes me wonder what you were doing to find that tidbit out though

Indeed. That's the basis of my little program. You can even build custom searches in the URL by manually changing the parameters. But its a right royal pain in the butt if you want to change from searching the last 7 days to the last 30 etc.

I was going to stick my program online for others to use until I realized my webhost doesn't support python. Maybe an excuse to learn something else in theses covid-dreary days.

Re: Using Yachtworld search

There is a new to me price drop tab in the prices section. Click on that and you can see all the boats with a recent price drop in your filter selections. It will only show the price drop boats btw,

Huh. Hadn't noticed that. THanks.

Also , based on CaverCops hint I also noticed that you can tag "&ridLegacy=pacificnorthwest" on the end of the URL and it will deliver the old PNW region results

for example:
https://www.yachtworld.com/boats-for...cificnorthwest

Re: Using Yachtworld search

I have found this incredibly frustrating.
I’ve been a lurker and one of those oft disdained charterers for a long time, but I’m finally able and ready to shop boats in earnest, but as I try, YachtWorld has set the yacht searching process back 30 years.
I even tried to find a “contact us” link from YachtWorld’s website to send a message that would likely be ignored ....only to find that there is no link.
They do not want to be contacted.
