VAT

I am a US citizen residing in the US. I am buying a boat in Greece. How do I avoid the VAT? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: VAT

Take delivery of the boat outside the EU VAT zone in a country close by like Turkey, Albania or Montenegro. Then follow the rules by exiting the EU for a day once every 18 months or using a customs bond scheme.
