Wait Time for New Boats and Used Boat Prices

At the boat show">Annapolis boat show it seemed like the lead times on new catamarans is at least two years. We ordered a new Balance cat with delivery in mid 2024. I believe Oyster also has a pretty full order book with delivery a year or two out.

Wondering what experience others had on lead times for both monohulls and cats, and if there is any difference based on mass produced versus more limited production. What is the lead times on Beneteau, Jenneau, lagoon etc?

Are these long lead times driving up used boat prices. Interested as we will have a well cared for monohull to sell before we take possession of the new cat.

When I ordered my Grand Soleil in 2020, the production time was 9 months from initial order to delivery. Now I am told it’s closer to 24 months.
