What is your favorite item in your Galley?

Open question to all boaters, just curious what other sailors like and dislike in their galley. What type of cups, plates silverware, gadgets etc do you like or dislike. Would you use bamboo silverware or plates? Steel or aluminum cups? Silicone coffee cups?

We have a new boat this year and I am interested in what other people use in their galley, as we want to outfit ours.

Victorinox drop point serrated paring knives. A half dozen. Use it, toss in sink, grab another.

My Cuisinart frittata pan and my Omnia stove top oven with the silicon insert! Those are my go-to items for cooking small meals on my little boat. I have a cast iron skillet I like too but the frittata pan wins out usually. In my search for the perfect sailing coffee cup I have settled on a Stanley "Tough to tip" insulated cup, but my favorite cup is a ceramic one that is beautiful and fits my hand perfectly. Gotta be careful with that one. That one only comes out at the anchorage.

Porcelain. Have proper cups and plates and bowls. If they break, they're pretty cheap to replace. I still have a set of porcelain plates and bowls I bought in Cartagena twenty years ago. Thousands of miles and meals later, they're still with us.
It's so nice to eat off of nice dishes.

Collapsible mixing bowls and bins of various sizes. The greatest thing since sliced bread.. Heck, I even mix my bread batter in them.

Where do I start. Real plates and glassware. Good sharp knives and a stone to keep them. And decent cutting boards.

Jura espresso maker. If I can find space, it will be my RV dishwasher.

For plates, I went with Melamine dishes. Unbreakable, yet a higher end feeling. For cups, went with Tritan based ones.

Silicone has revolutionized cookware. Bake sheets, bread pans, strainers, mixing bowls, drinkware, ect.
I also love my Flair manual espresso press, and manual crank pasta roller.
Our newest toy is a gosun solar oven. It definitely takes up some room but works very well and is very efficient.
