Thanks to the hint from Phil!, I am now considering fitting a wardrobe.....albeit am more a looking glass adventures kinda guy - and one of those easier to get onboard a 17 footer. Lol.

One of the things I like about the Silhouette is that she was designed before fitting as many berths as possible on a boat became a necessary sales gimmick. What that means is only 2 berths, but 2 very large cockpit lockers plus 2 small lockers where the heads of the 1/4 berths would be.

Be hard enuf getting one female onboard for the night!, let alone 3!! So a real world "compromise" I am willing to accept. Lol.

For sure, I have an eye on that for next year (40 miles away).....would fit in well with 1100cc of Kawasaki going by ferry. Or a small campervan.......

......but this year about getting shipshape. And chillaxing!

I suggest that you read Ming Ming, the book by Roger Taylor. You will find lots of tips about crossing rough seas in a small boat.
