Re: What's the deal with Luperon, DR?

My wife just finished typing up her first post about Luperon with a bunch of photos. She will be writing a few more posts about some of the things to do in this area in the next couple of days if anyone wants to check it out SV-Moitessier

Re: What's the deal with Luperon, DR?

No crime in looking for more...or settling for less; this blog (S/V Moitessier...: Dispelling the Myths of Luperon….) puts some meat on the bones (Hans Solo, is this yours?). At this point, I've read some posts that make Luperon sound idyllic (sort of) and others that liken it more to a cess pool; beauty, after all, is in the eye of the beholder. That said, I suspect none of us is deserving of the cruise-ship epithet. We have more in common than our differences.

I read it, thanks. I also looked at luperon

I get the feeling that mid budget cruisers are in the upper income bracket for Luperon. I know that before I got the idea to get a boat that I was considering buying a place and moving to that general area in DR.
