It's stated that the only damage was to the electonics. The boat looks to be in very nice condition.
I'm not at the point where I'm ready to make an offer, but wanted to solicit the opinions here on if it's worth pursuing, before paying for a full survey. What other damage, besides electronics should I be concerned with?
Would a lightning strike cause you to walk away and look elsewhere?

The boat is a '95 Tayana 48. It checks a lot of boxes for me. The link is below, and I'd love to hear objective opinions of this particular vessel.

Thanks as always... I appreciate and value the wisdom of this forum.

Lighting strikes happen at times.
Unless the lighting bolt penetrated the hull I woul not worry.
It usually knocks out some electronic circuits.
Happened to me twice.
Obviously the vessel is still afloat, so no damage done.

Re: Would a lightning strike be a deal-breaker?

Damage can happen and it isn't always obvious. A strike can melt tin (zinc or whatever) in a bronze seacock and compromise it while looking perfect. Wiring insulation over heated, looks aok but life shortened from premature cracking and brittleness. A compass can even be demagnetized. That's a short list but it gives a few examples. Electronics getting fried may be the only damage or the tip of the iceberg. It's much like a major house fire where owners find out yrs later what the fire damage really was. Pays your money and roll the dice if buying a struck boat.
