It should be something a bridgetender can understand. Has to work on the radio. Doesn't matter what it looks like on the transom. Strong consonants. Even then, at least half the people you meet won't understand it. Try whiskey tango foxtrot. That should work.

Re: Your boat's name

I've had a lot of boats, some named and some not. My favorite name is "Wasted Summer" which is exactly as it sounds, a friend and I basically wasted a whole summer working on it. Now it sits in my Mom's garage in its still unfinished state. Wasted Space!

I expected a different definition of wasted, to be honest.

Re: Your boat's name

"ROSA", when our boat was built in 1977 she was constructed in Minnesota by the original owner and his friend, who was the Master Carpenter. The friends wife was Rosa and was the main support person during construction, gathering items, providing daily food preparation, running errands etc. Right before launch day Rosa, while working at the boat, passed away. Changing her name has never been considered, and will never happen as long as we own her. We are personal friends of the original owner and builder from whom we purchased "ROSA" in 2005.

"ROSA" is now our home and we are currently cruising the Gulf Coast.

I always thought that was very clever as it is the same upside down.
Just hope it never has to be read upside down on the boat.
