Just wanted to revive this thread and say we're staged up in Neah Bay.

We abandoned a morning departure for San Francisco because we didn't like the weather a few days down the coast. Now considering Newport, OR as intermediary destination.

I have done this tri twice and both times had heavy weather off Oregon but always from behind .

Two years ago we went into Newport Oregon and it was a great stop.

There is really nice visitors dock and a great brewery within walking distance. Also a great marine store.
