Re: Change of Plan

good to hear you made it,it might be worth stopping in suva if you need more crew.
or try posting on the crewseekers website.
flights cheap to fiji but expensive into pago pago.
port vila is also a good place to pick up crew.
cheers alex

Re: Change of Plan

I guess one of the problems of being a delivery skipper is you find out first hand why the Owner didn't want to do the trip.........

......plod on!

pirate Re: Change of Plan

The owner is talking about maybe flying out for this last leg... but I'm a bit twitchy about that as he has heart problems.... last thing I want on top of boat probs is crew health problems....
Would rather solo it nonstop to 'Freo'....
Thanks for the 'boost' Trevor...
Who knows I might qualify as a sailor yet....

Re: Change of Plan

A piccy of my rain catcher, worked well, was cheaper and more efficient than buying water,
Its amazing how much water it actually collects, I filled both my tanks in about an hour, 60 gallons,

Re: Change of Plan

B61 -- those beers I offered ya might be getting stale. Park that tub in whatever bay the owner wants and stop by on your way through.

Re: Change of Plan

Don't worry about his medical issues, that's his problem.
Personally I can't think of a better way to go, or a better place to be put to rest.
Just get his signature on a blank piece of paper so you can write his will for him!
Maybe you don't want to turn that boat around and sail it back to Portugal though!

Is he coming? I think it would be quite mean to refuse him on his own boat, and I think he should be allowed time to sail it under the supervision of an awesome captain like yerself!

However, you should insist that he brings an AED just in case!
