The notice actually said that the ban is for travel to the outer islands of the Marshall Islands. Also, as I recommended in the other thread if cruisers are looking to go the Marshalls soon they should get a hold of SV SEAL via the Mieco Beach Yacht Club (Mieco Beach Yacht Club - The cruising site of the Marshall Islands) to find out the ground truth.

The ban for travel to the outer islands is to prevent the spread TO those islands. The breakout of Dengue isn't currently in the outer islands. Local info. is great, but not the exclusive source.

That is certainly not the case. Yachts may still travel to majuro . It is travel to the outer islands that has been stopped temporarily

Passes are easy, arrive with good light overhead, Google Earth sat images a must.

How is Vuda marina? We currently work as missionaries in the Marshall Islands and use our 57' cutter ketch Cloud Nine to reach outer islands here but am in great need of a haul out this next season. Would love to paint top and bottom there at Vuda. Whats your take and any suggestions of better place in Fiji? When done we plan on returning to the Marshall Islands to continue our missions there/here.

We have only hauled out in Vuda. So don’t know about anywhere else in Fiji, Port Denarau?
We like Vuda, the marina is a bit funky (new marina being dredged at this time) good people here. You can do work yourself or have a choice of a few contractors. Labor very cheap here.
You need a taxi or bus to get to hardware, supply shops in Latouka.
Good restaurant here.

We believe that the travel ban will be lifted soon. We have seen a decrease in case as of recent here in Ebeye. Does anyone know if there are surveyors in Fiji as I will need to get our boat surveyed as well.
