Hi All, well the year is rolling on and I guess many cruisers now in Oz, NZ etc are starting to think about their cruise through Indonesia this year. We hope they are anyway. Want to remind yachts and boats about the most cost effective [read cheap] way to handle your Indonesian paperwork, including the infamous customs bond. Yes, it is doable, despite rumors to the contrary,and Sail Maluku can handle all the documentation on your behalf AND give a warm welcome to the Spice Islands. The SAIL MALUKU event is set to take place in august this year based in Ambon . It will be pretty laid back as befits a tropical paradise, with the emphasis on giving info and support for visiting all the surrounding islands. No races, rallies or time schedules just a welcoming party and you might even get the 'been there done that' T shirt, gratis. Not many pirates in this part of the world, at least after you've got past Australian Customs that is, for those,and sad to say we don't blame them, who want to avoid them, yachts can come from any place to the SPICE ISLANDS with assistance from Sail Maluku.
