Lady Musgrave to Heron Island, how busy is it now.

I have my motors in, will have the heads plumbed and fresh water sorted this week. Then itching to go somewhere.

Thinking of going to Moreton Island then maybe further if my workmanship holds up. Somewhere easy for a newbie which won't scare the wife and kids within easy reach of Brisbane for a week or so.

I'd like a bit of space and not have to worry about other boats too much.

For a first trip away, The Great Sandy Strait/Fraser Island would be a good one.
Sail the Great Sandy Strait - Our Fraser Coast

Just make sure that you are cautious crossing the Wide Bay bar.

Thanks Stu

Ha, yeah I crossed the bar leaving Tin Can Bay. It wasn't too bad that day but I have heard it has a reputation.
