My vote is for a Westsail 32, foam cored rudder and later models had a stainless reinforced tiller box. Scary picture.

I'd say W 32 also. Too short a tiller for an Ingrid 38

That's from a Westsail 28. My boyfriend had one for many years. It's not big enough to be off a 32.

Could be from that W32 boat abandoned off Niue?

But then (as noted above) there would be growth.

PS Reading that W32 blog I did not quite get why they abandoned(?) The boat looked fine and they were only 75 miles off the island. Anybody knows what happened there?

PS2 W32 seem to be better than well represented in the total of cruising boats lost in the Pacific region. Wondering why.
