Problems in Japan

Japan seems to be in tough shape right now. The other day, big risky work started at the crippled TEPCO plant & now a 7+ magnitude quake just hit the area.

Where is the main stream media on all of this?

None was killed, no serious damage was reported, a piddling tsunamis of 40 cm was produced, no release of radioactivity. No news to report.

I think the concern is the rain forecast for this weekend and the possibility of rain because the reactors are still open to the air. Keep in mind that's lots of the isotobes will have half lives of 100,000 years or more so we really can't afford any release into the oceans.
