Recommendations for semi - long term anchorage in northern NSWl

I'm looking for ancorage areas/ mooring for a 16.5m converted trawler for 3-4 months. As close to Tweed heads as possible but I'm hardly fussy.
I'm new to all this so sorry about any clumsy wording or wrong terms. I'm trying to organise on my sister's behalf somewhere in northern NSW where it can be safely parked up for a few months but I don't really know much beyond what I can find on google. I know it'll have to be moved every 3- 4 weeks, and can't be in the water more than 3 months total. We can organise someone to live aboard if need be and I'm open to marina's etc but obviously budget is a factor. The size of the vessel means a lot of normal choices for storage arent really an option.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yamba / iluka / clarence river area is a convenient and safe area to park a boat for a while

you will be able to rent a commercial mooring or may even be able to get a private mooring through nsw maritime

personally i would not anchor an unattended boat for days - let alone weeks or months, but there are folk that do. some boats have been anchorage here for more than a year

but why do you say "I know it'll have to be moved every 3- 4 weeks, and can't be in the water more than 3 months total."

balina or tweed heads ars also options but don't know these so well, and the bars there can be tricky

cheers,
