Register sailboat in Polynesia

I just bought a sailboat in Polynesia and want to register it here. The previous owners were US-amaerican, the boat was also flagged in the USA. I am German. The boat is officially imported ("papeetizee").

What do I need to do to register it here in Polynesia and would you recomemnd that? I found documents at DPAM but they are quite confusing. Did somebody do the process already?
What are the costs that I have to expect? And lastly, is there a good company for liability insurance for my old boat (made in 1978)?

I am mainly concerned if I need to to approve the construction or not. It's a Kettenburg K32. The approval would involve a lot of administrative work.
